2020 was a challenging year, to say the least. A year that has already written pages into the history books. For some, 2020 will be remembered as the year of a generation. It was unpredictable, unforgiving, cruel, and difficult to navigate through it. Looking at the overall 2020 context, it may be hard or even forced to find things to be grateful. But not impossible.
I have the firm conviction we must close each year looking at the good, however small this good is, or however insignificant may seem. It is my personal choice to do so. And I am encouraging you to do the same.
I will not make an extensive list with all the things that I am grateful for. I will state the most important – I am healthy and alive. I am grateful for being here and now. I am grateful beyond words for my family and my friends. They made this year’s burden bearable. Thank you for being healthy and please, stay so.
2020 taught me again, and again, and again to be patient. Because in the end, it does pay off. I am grateful for the patience challenge 😊
What will I take from this year?
The reminder that life is unpredictable. 2020 served this piece of wisdom, bluntly. The beauty of life lies in its unsynchronized randomness; in all the endless possibilities. The biggest difference in the unknown field we all play is the attitude we choose in the game.
Choose wise, stay healthy and safe.
Goodbye, 2020. I don’t think you will be missed.
Lots of love,
