Have faith and trust the process

In today’s society making plans IS A MUST. It is normal to make plans and to write down “to do” lists. To organise as much as possible your life, and give it some sort of direction. As long you have a plan, you know where you are heading, right?! Always looking forward, but never looking into the present moment. Where life actually happens.

I fell into this “to do lists” trap myself. Yes, I do consider it as a trap. Why?! Because made me act like I was in some sort of competition with myself (and this was different from becoming a better version of me). Because if I wouldn’t achieve all that was written on my to do list, I would feel frustration, even anger. Why?! Because things didn’t happened according to my plan, to my mentally designed direction, according to what my expectations were. And I was trying even harder to force into completion my to do list, my plans for the future. And I was looking only forward, forgetting to look into the present moment and enjoy life.

Do not get me wrong. I know that everything in our life implies an action. If you are hungry, you have to eat. No one can do it for you. If you have a pain, you have to go to the doctor to be checked. It will be your body under scan, not someone else’s. I know that building a house means to put a brick, after brick, after brick. What I am trying to say is that we need actions in the present moment, for the present moment. Not actions in the present moment, for a glorious future where all is bright and perfect. A fantasy future where everything will happen according to our expectations.

Have you ever wondered what it will be like to simply trust the process?! Trust, that things will happen exactly as they are supposed to be?! Even if this means a different future, even a different destination than the one you imagined?

You take a leap of faith! For me this is pure bravery! And an act of absolute courage. Yes, it is! Because you free yourself from “what if” and from “what might happen”. And I genuinely believe this is key to a happy life.

Tomorrow might never come. So, don’t you think is better to live now, trust the process and just enjoy life?!
